- Changes in SPECTRUM 1.1
-
- A Bug fixes:
- 1. Tiled windows fixed on small screens. When a small-screen Mac is
- used, the vertical overlap of tiled windows is adjusted so that
- window refresh is correct.
-
- 2. Signal Synthesizer ("New" in File Menu)
- Noise is now normally distributed.
- Gaussian and Lorentzian widths are now full-width at
- half maximum (FWHM).
-
- 3. Histogram x-axis corrected
-
- 4. Watch cursor now shows during all calculations.
-
- B. Additions:
- 1. Transformation menu:
-
- a. Group points by 2s
- Halves the number of points in a signal by averaging
- pairs of adjacent points. Use to thin oversampled
- signals.
-
- b. Bridge segment...
- Replaces any specified segment of a signal with a
- straight line. Rubber-band cursor can be used to
- specify segment. Used to remove spikes and artifacts.
- Can be used to remove peaks from a background in
- order to allow the background to be curve-fit or
- smoothed for later subtraction.
-
- 2. Window menu:
- Set Y axis range... allow direct setting of any arbitrary
- Y axis limits.
- Rubberband cursor mode additionally reports Δx and Δy.
-
- 3. Math menu
- Antilog (replaces Square) computes common antilog of signal.
- Natural log (ln) and natural antilog (Antiln) added.
-
- C. Changes to Key Equivalents
- 1. Cmd-E is now Resolution enhancement...
- 2. Cmd-J is now Concatenate with clipboard (i.e. Join)
- 3. Cmd-B is now Bridge segment...
